EMBS Achieves Matrix Standard in July 2011
EMBS has achieved the Matrix Standard once again; we were assessed by Kim Howard who went on to say that: ‘EMBS continues to be client centred, impartial and objective within the context of delivering government funded programmes that are explicitly target driven. Learners were overwhelmingly positive about the support available throughout their learning journey. Adjectives used to describe EMBS included ‘friendly’, ‘helpful’ and ‘patient’. A number of clients emphasised the importance of their initial contact with EMBS. For example, the reception area at Tyndale House was thought to provide an important welcoming first impression. Observation of the function confirmed that staff were effective in putting potential clients at their ease by introducing a supportive approach to learning in a safe and comfortable environment’.
He highlighted the following qualities of the EMBS team:
We have a ‘can do’ attitude and work beyond our requirements.
The organisation has been expanded around key skills.
You exceed targets whilst maintaining an impressive client centred approach.
Through EMBS learners report: “my eyes have been opened’’.
We engage the grassroots and have excellent outreach.
We celebrate the success of our clients.
We work with a large number of partners.
We develop clients and support their progression.
